Liverpool Held to Goalless Draw as Arne Slot Admits Possession Isn’t Enough

Liverpool head coach Arne Slot admitted that controlling the game means little without moments of individual magic after his team were held to a disappointing 0-0 draw against Leeds at Anfield.

Despite dominating possession with close to 70 percent of the ball, Liverpool struggled to create clear-cut chances and lacked sharpness in the final third. The absence of key attacking players Mohamed Salah and Alexander Isak was clearly felt as the home side failed to convert control into goals.

The draw extended Liverpool’s unbeaten run to nine matches in the Premier League, a significant turnaround following a difficult period in which they lost nine of their previous 12 games. However, Slot acknowledged that recent performances have not always reflected the positive results, stressing the need for more decisive quality in attack.
